About my practice

About the therapy I can offer:

I am an accredited counsellor offering qualified, experienced, professional counselling for a variety of personal, emotional and psychological problems.

I can offer both brief and long term counselling. What will be most appropriate for you can be discussed in an initial consultation. In short term counselling the focus is usually on a specific issue. In Long term work the work goes deeper, exploring and making sense of patterns from the past which may be affecting present choices. This work is aimed towards facilitating personal growth and change. I work using a Psychodynamic approach. This means we will explore and think about how the past affects the present; current issues may well be related to the past, but which you are not consciously aware of. Understanding yourself better can help you to change in the way that you relate to others and in the way you feel and think and experience your life.
